body mounts

I recently purchased an 04 Sport Trac, while changing the fuel filter I noticed the 4 center body mounts were crumbling. The other front and rears are in good condition, is this something that happens at the 90k mile mark?
I also have to change the valve cover gaskets which look to be an interesting job.
I just finished replacing the rear shock absorbers by dropping the spare and unbolting the evaporiative system and doing a rear brake job with the rotors turned. Fun Fun Fun!

Very common issue. The 2001-05 Sport Trac sub forum has many threads regarding failed body mounts, especially the four foam mounts under the cab. Search "body mounts" using "Search this Forum". Here's one of many, complete with pics. Welcome and GL.
