Well, first off let me welcome you to the site! Here, most any explorer question can be answered. As for the boggers, depending on the size you want to run, You're gonna need a nice bit of lift as well as fender trimming. I've heard they wont last longer than 20k miles. I had mine on for a summer and drove approx 20mi a day on em and let me tell ya, you can tell they're worn. I got a set of street tires and I'm keepin the boggers for offroad. I remind you, this is the worst possible ride. There is no other tire that you can buy that will ride worse, to my knowledge. Sure they look great, but it's a damn expensive tire to run on the street.

hey thanks alot pete,

i was planing on getting the 33/14/15, but i guess if the ride sucks then that could put a dent in my plans, but thanks alot

Yeah, the look mean...but I get horrible gas milage, they're loud and rough as hell...Took me 9in of lift and trimming to get full flex outta my system to run em nicely off road.

hey pete, you have a pretty decent sized lift on yours, do you ever feel like unsafe riding in your explorer, like it might tip if you gunned it to fast on a corner? o and if you could help me out with one more thing, do u know where, or how much a full roll cage for an explorer will cost? thanks

Naw, I've learned, my truck is no sports car. On the boggers I feel really stable. To my knowledge, the roll cage would have to be custom fabricated and I have no clue. Rick, the owner, has had one made, but I don't know how much it cost him. I'm slowly looking into it because I wanna be safer and am gonna try more extreme wheelin.

ya pete i feel ya, thats why im wantin a cage, and hey i jsut looked at ur explorer on your site and its sweet. so which do you think I should get, the boggers? or some TSL's? cause i think the tsls might ride smoother and last longer but im not to sure still. thanks

Shibby, I suggest the SSR's. Same basic tread pattern as regular Swampers only a little tighter, plus (a BIG plus) they have siping in the center lugs, which makes them MUCH better for general street driving. And they're radials. My friend has them on both his trucks, and loves them. Not too loud on pavement, and kickass off road.

i have 33x14x15 boggers on my 98 xlt. if they're brand new they're not bad. if the fronts are warn down youll have a hell of a time holding onto the wheel. offroading is a every other day thing but if there strictly on road..... wouldnt advice it

Waste of money I'd say.. they're boggers.... go get some A/T's or if you really want an aggressive tread That bad go get some M/T's.. those are still somewhat decent on the road.
