i heard that the explorer and jeep cherokee have the same bolt pattern, the reason im asking is i am looking for tires and wheels and there is someone near me selling four 31 bfg mts and rockcrawlers that are 15x8 with 3.75 backspacing for jeep so i needed to know for sure. thanks for your time

go to my gallery and you can find a picture of my former Cherokee dressed in wheels off my 98 Explorer Sport

what about the new Lightning? i wanna buy those 18" SVT rims but I'm not sure if they will fit my '00 explorer. i know they will fit the expedition. does anyone know what the actually pattern is (in numbers)?

Actually the new 97+ F150s and Expeditions are 5x135mm. Pre-97 are 5x5.5.

5x5.5 for the f150 and 5x4.5 for the explorers

do they make lug conversion kits that would allow fitment of the Lightning rims?

Yes, but about $100-150/pair.

Yes, 5x4.5 is the eqivelent to 5x114.3. Will bolt right on.
