bosch platinum +4

hey guys who have platinum +4
do any of guys have problems with them
my friend has an eclipse with distributorless ignition
and explorer have distributorless ignition
his uncle ase master mech. said that they hurt these
engine
anyone have problems

No problems for me. I have had mine for about a year maybe, and they seem to be doing fine, and I don't have any problems with the engine, and I have 153,000 miles.

I've had mine for about six months, the only thing
I have noticed is the engine runs smoother. I've heard
they make your engine run hotter, but I haven't experienced
that. I haven't had mine very long so I'll try to
keep you posted if anyting wierd happens.

P.S. at least you don't have to gap 'em!

I found an article from a Bosch Tech. about this issue, and all the rumors about these plugs either running hot or damaging the engine are false. there was extensive testing performed before the release of these plugs and Bosch would not market the plugs if they would create problems. I have have the Plus 4s in 3 of our cars, all of which have no dirtributor, and all runs great! The Bosch tech. said there are many rumors going around about the Bosch plugs and the splitfire plugs, but he said it is all BS. He said the plus 4's were created with very advanced equipment and extensive testing and were made specifically for each application. Please let me know if you guys wanna see the actual article and i can go look for it again.
