94 XLT 4x4 Exploder
So I got a killer deal on a 34 ft very low mile Bounder Class A. Its getting some needed maintenance after sitting for 10 years. Tires, brakes etc.

So I want to play an old man retired person routine. Not only floating around the west coast for weeks on end, I want to tow one of my Exploders.

I am pretty certain the 2nd Gens are out, I have one that is 4x4 1999. Another one that is 01 but 2WD. Other than towing the 01 backward on a tow dolly I think that one is out too.

What about my 94 4x4 XLT? Does that transfer case have the capability to go into neutral so I can tow it on all four wheels?

Anything is possible, if the transfer case does not have a selectable "N", you can always just disconnect the rear driveshaft and strap it up in the chassis for transporting behind the motor home.
You do not want to use a tow dolly from the rear axle, it will not be balanced and will sway dangerously with all the weight of the engine so far out back, always tow dolly a vehicle with the heaviest end on the dolly wheels, but you probably already know this.
However, as example, My 97 Sport is over 4k lbs empty, thats alot of extra weight to be pulling around all over the place.
Other alternatives are,
If you calculate the expenditures on owning, maintaining, gassing, and insuring a vehicle to tow with you, it would be cheaper to rent a car instead. Call the car rental company ahead of time, and they will bring a car to you at you destination, or get some mopeds or even bicycles.

I have a 2015 Tiffin Allegro and I tow my Explorer Sport behind it with no problems, so you should be fine. I just disconnect the front/rear drive shafts and place the shifter into neutral. Make sure you have a good stabilizer tow bar hooked to your explorer and you should be fine.
