Ok, I am making a box in the rear of my explorer, and once I sell my current box and sub to buy a 12", maybe 2 12"s. But, I would like to have the sub(s) facing the rear, but would like to have some sort of grille or something that can be removed if necessary. I was wondering if I could cut out 13" holes, then get a ring like this: Dead Link Removed mount the sub(s)to those rings, then put those into that 13" hole, so that the sub will be mounted flush then I could make a grille for it. Does that sound good? I may just take this box to a local car audio place so that they can finish it off to get the volumes correct and everything. That way it will sound good. Here's a pic of the box I am making:
Also, any other suggestions will be taken into consideration.
