Hi guys

Ordered ford oem brake caliper rebuild kit containing two slighty different guide pins, kind of green coated and triple grooved one.

According to ford parts internet site brakes photo, the green pin it is the bottom one in both sides.am i right?

No any useful info or TSB found about this issue..

I read the diagram to indicate there is no difference between the guide pins. It uses the "1" label for both indicating they are the same part. I can't see any physical differences between the two you are holding other than the color.

The silver one has 3 radial grooves and some kind of two half holes in the top

I looked up the Ford OEM kit on Rockauto and it appears one has two indents in the head and the other one does not. Maybe check the heads of the ones you are replacing to see if they are different. If they aren't different then I would just put the notched head one where it was located previously.

Yeah

The old ones looks the same...will replace it relative to initial location

Today received my brand new OEM brake caliper driver side bracket.as you can see the green guide pin always goes to the bottom:

Caliper bracket replaced (reason: rattle noise on rough road).

Ford updated parts (caliper bolts and bracket)
