Front right caliper failed and leaked the system. (darn near killed me on the highway). I need to replace the caliper, but also both front pads and rotors. No problems doing that.
My question is this (yes I searched, but didn't get a clear answer)....
2000 sohc 4wd.
Does the master cylinder need to be bench bled or is it possible to do it on the vehicle by removing the fittings at the MC and then brake lines? The reservoir was dry, so I am sure air is in there. If I need to, what is involved with a bench bleed?
Also....any suggestions for brands of calipers, rotors, and pads. prefer to go with a good mid grade...doesn't need to be drilled and slotted rotor.
