96 XLT - I have brake fluid leaking from the Master Cylinder brake fluid level switch. Firstly, what is this switch sensor called? Secondly, is there a part number for this item? I am having some difficulty locating an item online as i may not know its exact name.

Keep in mind that the level switch is in the reservoir, wheras the speed control deactivation switch (the one that's been recalled) mounts to the master cylinder itself.

Now, if it is, in fact, the level switch you're talking about, I believe it comes with a new reservoir, and it's likely a dealer-only part.

Oh No!

The fluid is leaking from what appears to be a switch (with small plug and wires) that screws into the end of the master cylinder. Do you have any more info?

That would be the speed control deactivation switch. You should receive a recall notice soon if you have not received one already.
