How much do you think it costs to get a four wheel brake job on a 97 4x4 xlt?

It took myself only 1 and a half hours to replaced both Front and Rear pads for my 96 limted last weekend, it won't take longer if rotors need to be replaced as well.

I consider brake job is the easiest DIY job.

brake job

What about bleeding the lines...

Bleeding the lines will probalbly not be neccesary, but a good idea anyway.

Start with the RR, then LR, RF then LF. I'd pump out as much of the old BF as possible. The HCU don't take too kindly to deposits...

99 sport. 18k miles. so far, ive changed the master cyl, lines, calipers, pads, rotors 3 times!!!!! oh and guess what im having done next week, brakes.

cost me nothing, it was all warranty work.

"we couldnt find the problem . these are normal symptoms sir"

gee, now i wonder how much all of those fuel pumps were. isnt for just the best?

bleeding ABS brakes

I read the manual for my 95 XLT. It says you need to use a special procedure when bleeding the brakes on ABS systems. Have you bled the brakes yet? I have 100,000 kms on the truck. Not bled yet. Origional calipers.--- 3rd set of pads---2nd set of rotors. Dont need air in the ABS module.

turns out

It turns out that my CV joint boot ripped which caused grease to come out and get all over my wheel and brakes. Thats what caused the grinding sound in the brakes. For $350 I got the joint replaced and replaced the front brake pads. Thanks for all the responses.
