Brake light problem??

So for the pass couple of weeks my brake light on my dash has been coming on and im not sure whats causing it. My parking break isnt on and i pretty sure its not stuck. I know my brakes are going bad well atlease my calipers and rotors. but that wouldnt trigger the light would it? Im thinking my the sensor is messed up?? any ideals????

Chances are your pads are low too. The light coming on tells you that the brake fluid reservoir is low due to the pads being thin. It takes more fluid to fill the brake lines since the pads have to travel further because they are due for a change. Get them checked pronto.
