On top of the master cylinder, furthest away end from the brake fluid reservoir, there is a device, with an electrical connector. Cruise switch for the brakes? It appears there is a slight brake fluid leak from it... is this something that can be replaced? Probably involving the need to bleed the whole system? Has anyone seen this before? It's bolted to the master cylinder tightly... the brake fluid appears to be oozing from the brown/red circular bit, about an inch above where it screws in to the cylinder...

Whether the 'band aid' fused harness recall has been performed or not, you will be well advised to immediately pull the plug from the CC deactivation switch (that's the device that you are talking about). This will disable your cruise control, but most importantly, eliminate the risk of fire. Next, take it to the dealer, who, I believe will replace the leaking switch free of charge, under the recall.

Thanks guys - according to the ford website quoted, my VIN doesn't qualify for the recall, but will endeavour to get them to change it out for me - thanks again!
