1999 North Face Explorer
Hi, I am new to this forum as I just bought my 1999 North Face Explorer this summer. Since its purchase I have replaced the fuel tank & filler pipe (bought from the USA at a high cost) and exhaust and now it needs the fuel pipes replaced before the MOT in January. Can anyone please let me know where to buy new brake pipes for my Explorer? I live in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and I will only be buying the pipes and getting the local garage to fit them as I am not that handy in car maintenance.

The only other major problem I have is the juddering in the brakes for the last few metres when stopping. I have read that this is a faulty ABS sensor, does anyone know if ths true?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ron

I think most of us who have changed tier brake pipes have just used generic copper pipe and made them up ourselves. The flexible pipes can be got from www.rockauto.com or www.usautomitive.com or Ebay !. As for the judder it does always seem to be one of the front sensors, but check for clean connections at the plug near the front of chassis first. If you do need a sensor they come as part of the hub but you can sometimes get them separately.

Many thanks, hopefully I can get these things sorted for the winter.

Cheers
