Brake squeal

So we bought the 2000 XLT and the girl say's the brakes squeal,I can't hear high pitched noise so I say Ok,lets take a look.Mind you the guy I bought this from has 2 kids he took on long trips in this thing.

Metal to metal,even the rivets are gone.Makes you wonder what he was thinking,as you can see it's not a beat out pos either.$113 for rotors and pads at O'Reilly's.Took me 30 minutes to fix.

Most people are complete idiots when it comes to car maintainance, but damn those things are toast!!!! How could they not hear the metal on metal grinding??????

Some people will drive a car thats making noises until the wheels fall off. Then they'll ask you if you think that noise they were hearing for six months had anything to do with the wheels falling off! If you teach your kids anything about cars, tell them to listen. A loud noise is usually preceded by a little noise, and a little noise is the car telling you something needs to be looked at.
