Hello I'm new to the explorer, and I have an interesting problem. My brake warning light in the dash will not light with all the rest. I have pulled the bulb and it has the filament intact. so where do I go from here?

Bulbs are cheap. I'd replace it just to be safe. In my job I work with a ton of coin door lights. Both 555 (5vdc) and 161/194 (12volt type) I've seen them open up in some odd places. Normally yeah you can see where..sometimes? Just cheap and easy to know 100% I'd also check the small 'ears' that come out and make the electrical contact to ensure they are in good repair and not burnt up a bit.

Not sure about the rest of the circuit, as I'm at work and do not have a wiring schematic to look at.

Good Luck with it!

Just to be clear, the momentary dash lights come on and then go out. The brake light does not come on at all. I pulled the bulb and checked with a continuity meter, and got a value not a zero

anybody have a wire diagram for this?

ok I have looked and found a general light diagram for the cluster, but does not show anything for the cluster warning lights.

The issue I am having is the brake light warning (fluid level parking brake) does not illuminate. the bulb has been checked with a "known good" light bulb. is there anywhere with a diagram with this circuit on it?
All of the other warning lights that come on with the key do.

Brake warning light on when the parking brake is engaged and off when released? If so it's functioning properly.

It does not light at all in either case, at initial key turn or the brake applied
