Hi
I just bought brand new 2013 explorer few months ago, I didn't drive too much, only few hundred KMs, but I just found the driver side lower than the passenger side, about 2cm lower.

I don't know what's the problem, is it common issue of new car? is it big problem? what can I do?

Thank you, appreciate any help!

Welcome to the Forum 10031103. :wavey:
It could be shocks, springs, tire pressure or a combination of any of them. The difference is less than an inch so I don't think that there is really anything to worry about. To be honest, I've never measured any of the vehicles I've had that way.
In the left margin it just shows 2013 but no model. It would help if you showed the model you have as well since some answers are model specific.

Like peterk9 says it could be a number of thing like a un level street, check tire pressure most likly that is it.

thanks, the first thing I was thinking is the tire pressure, I checked, but they are both ok, even the driver side has little bit higher pressure, but still lower.

my car's model is 2013 explorer xlt

Hi 10031103,

You can always swing by your dealership so they can check this out for you. If you don't want to make a special trip, you can always combine it with an upcoming oil change or other scheduled maintenance visit. Additionally, you can reach out to my colleagues at Ford Canada by calling 1-800-565-3673.

OK, so I went to dealership, they checked and the report show the Right/Front wheel is 0.4 in higher then Left/Front, and Right/Rear is 0.2 in higher then Left/Rear, and they said because my car is 4WD, so this is normal and didn't do anything about it.

is it normal? thanks

Hi 10031103,

Ford certified techs are in the best position to inspect and diagnose your vehicle. If you'd like a second opinion, you can visit a different Ford dealership and see what they say. As always, you're welcome to contact Ford Canada at 1-800-565-3673.

Crystal
