How come when I turn on my brights my driving lights turn off? Is there any way to have the brights go on and still have my driving lights?

if you hold back the lever they both stay on... but that dosent really help unless you want to drive around holding the lever back

Heh well just wedge something in the stalk to keep it forward ;)

Actually it needs pulled back;)

Highbeams

They are actually fog-lights, not driving lights. That is why they are aimed so low. You can't see in the fog with your high-beams on. I guess this is Ford's way of trying to make sure you only turn them on in foggy conditions.

This is normal for the X and is the way Ford designed it. My Cadillac also does this. The only way to get around this is to re-wire your fog lights into your parking lights.

I wish my X had the headlights that my Caddy has, it will light up the world! :)

welcome to this site.

do a "search" on fog lights this has been discussed.

your best bet would be to wire them to work independent of anything else.

basically if you push the button they come on.

also check out lighting section.
