I recently bought a bug delfector II off of a forum member. I fitted it to the hood of my 2000 (following the grooves of the hood underneath) but it doesn't seem to have the same gaps on the left and right of the truck. Anybody have experiance installing these? I wonder if it is not the right size for my year?

It doesn't look too bad but there is more of a gap on the passenger side than the driver side.

Oh, does anyone know where to get those clear rubber bumpers that stick on the hood?

Thanks!

Just slide it over some. They aren't very hi-tech. I put the rubber things on my hood at the places where the deflector looked like it would hit.

Do you mean to the left / right or front / back?

Slide it over to where you would be happy with. The look under the hood does not matter since it's out of sight.

The guard is molded underneath to fit the conture of the hood. I'm was worried it won't close if I don't follow them.

Try it out by using a couple of the double sised stick tape and see if it closes. Just be careful closing it, you don't want your brand new shield cracking up on you.

Hey you got it, I hope it arrived in good shape. Please post feedback about me in the FORSALE, WANTED, TRADE section.

It should fit, if i'm not mistaken the 95 to 2000 hoods are all the same. someone please correct me if i am wrong

also if you like i can take pictures of where my holes for the screws were drilled to kinda guide you...

Yea, if you have a pic of that stuff it would be good. I got a little overzealous when I received it yesterday and mounted all 4 screws. I can take it down, but I'm just worried about the screw holes rusting.
