Building custom CAI few questions

Building my own (better) KKM like intake for my mounty. I already ordered the MAF adapter, but i'm hung up on what brand filter to use, and heat shield.

is this heat shield any good:

I'd love to be able to just use that instead of fabbing my own.

How are Spectre Air Filters? I've seen these on eBay and at Autozone but am not familiar with their quality. Also, anyone use the AEM DryFlow? This is my second choice if the Spectre doesn't pan out.

Also, are there any other parts I need besides the MAF adapter and the cone filter?
