i am installing my three inch body lift on my x and when i try to remove the bolt from the front bushing the top metal plate on the bushign spins...someone told me that the metal plate is threaded...but i dont know how to stop it from spinning and get the bolt to spin by itselft? HELP PLEASE!!!

I haven't done any lift but have read up on some but still concerned about that very thing of fighting with the hardware  . If you've done the necessary prep work: spray the break free n wait, removing brake lines, fan shroud, and all other gotchas, try undoing all the body mount bolts on that same side, loosen the other bolts on other side, and return to your problem bolt and maybe use that proximity as a jacking point. Might seize the spinning...
Good luck. Let us in on the results. Pix if you got em.

back to your question....what i did was first i soaked the H*LL out of the bushing and the bolt...then i tightened a pair of vice grips to the metal plate and clamp it as hard as they would go...then i had a buddy pull the vice grips as hard as he could while i racheted the bolt out....good luck....let me know how it goes and also let me know if there is anything else you are stuck on that i can help you with....
