buying 31 10.50 r15 s

i was wondereing how much bigger 31s would be compared to stock size tires which are 235 and if i chose a wider rim then stock like a 15x8 would that make the tire shorter

any help would be apprecitated

they're going to be just over an 1" taller depending on the tire you go w/.

i don't think that a rim 1" wider would make any diff. in the height.

Actually I think it will probably be a little over 2 inches taller. If memory serves me right a 235/75/15 is either 28.3, or 29.3OD.

you are correct sir....also it depends on what 31" tire you fo with, some are taller than otehrs....lime my bfs's the list as 30.9" tall inflated, but the tire is a 31" tire

well i meant over 1", i could have said just under 2" i guess.

A wider rim will actually make the tire sidewall stand up more as opposed to a buldging sidewall on a more narrow rim.
