For me, thats not happening anymore. Now I m sure there are many many great places to order parts online, but it can be a real hassle when it goes bad. I ordered my radiator online, I was so happy, i found a brass copper rediator for 110$. What a deal, so I wait like a week and it comes. Alright, just in time for the weekend. I said to my friend, I m going to be real careful opening this box, because if it is poor quility, its going back.
I carefully opened the box enough to see that my brass copper radiator was plastic and aluminum. I can't write what I said next. So I call the company, hold transfer, hold, then some little fart comes on telling me I have to pay for return shipping, which it stated on the invoice they would pay for return shipping.
Okay after dealing with these-----, I wait, they are going to send me the necassary paper work to send it back. I open my email to find a questionarre as to why I was returning the part, all this and that. Only never to here from them again. Except for the spam they send me. So the radiator actually was high quality, and plastic is good. So I installed it and have not had any problems. Except that the value craft thermo stat is stuck open again after a month. This will be the third in 4 months.
So the lessen I learned is, I am not going to order things online, the money you save is eaten up by red tape and the fact that you do not know what you are getting untill it arrives. If I was to order another radiator online, it would probably be from radiator barn, because everything I read on here suggests they are good

FWIW, I only order from rockauto.com. Big items, I'd rather go to a brick & mortar store.

Are you aware that the 1st gen radiators were all plastic from factory?
