BW 1356 with 4R44E ??

I want to swap to a manual shift t-case on my 98 explorer sport. I just found a BW1356 from a 89 F250, I want to know if it will fit to my transmission? If it wont fit what do I need to make it work? I also want to put a 5speed manual transmssion soon, will it fit also on this?

I make a search on the forum but I only find info pour the V8

The 5 bolt bolt pattern and the smaller output shaft of the 4R44E will not work with the larger six bolt pattern and 31 spline input spline of the 1356. I don't think anyone makes an adapter for that swap.

A 1354 manual T/C should bolt right up.

The Explorer manual transmission has the same 5-bolt pattern as the 4R44E.
