Bye bye 02 XLT...

We've owned it since 09/2001 (mainly driven by my wife) and it had just over 92k miles. Transmission started going sometime in the spring. We knew bc it whined like a supercharger in 1st and 2nd. The O/D light started blinking last week, then the service soon light, and the car won't shift up a gear unless you let off the gas for a second or two. Car's been on the lower side of average from a reliability perspective. The rear coil springs broke sometime around 50-60k miles, both rear wheel bearings went bad this year, and I've replaced the rotors and pads 3 times. Traded it in today for an '08 certified used Honda Pilot with 30k miles. The Explorer served us well, but it was definitely time to move on...
