I'm putting a new Kenwood deck in and until I upgrade the rest of the system (i've already replaced factory speakers), I'd like to bypass the factory amp. Will I gain any SQ? Less distortion at high volumes?
Any potential problems with doing this? Your help appreciated!

The HU is a Kenwood eXcelon Z828.

Go ahead and bypass the amp. You have nothing to lose. You will get a stronger & cleaner signal :D

yeah, what they said.

it will be louder and a cleaner/clearer signal.

definitely bypass the factory amp...when I replaced my HU I got it from crutchfield.com and they said that it is much better to bypass the factory amp
