bypass factory amp

this has probally been discussed many times.how do you bypass the factory amp in a 94 x without the harness bypass thing?have aftermarket hu,just want to lose the factory amp.

im pretty sure you have to have the bypass cable unless you want to do some splicing.... all the speaker wires go through the amp. if you unplug the amp without putting in the bypass cable the speakers wont work.

ditto^. either have to 1) use bypass harness or 2) cut off harnesses, figure out the wires, then splice or lastly 3) rewire all 4 speakers. much easier to just us the bypass harness

If you have aftermarket speakers and an amp on them, might just be more beneficial to run new wires to all four. Otherwise save yourself the headache and get the bypass kit. I think I paid something like 15 bucks for mine.
