Bought the 06 about two years ago with 40k on it. Couple weeks after purchase the radiator puked... I have NOT done the TSB computer reprogram yet.. but will...

Started puking antifreeze yesterday. Thought it was the water pump. Turned out, thankfully, just to be the bypass hose. I can't remember the last time I've seen a hose blow... Especially one that is just 4 years old with 60k miles on it!

Did a thermostat while inside the housing. Wire harness was in the way... Pulled off the idler pully and it wasn't too bad...

It must be one of those days for bypass hoses..

I replaced the Thermostat housing on our '06 mustang (same motor) a few weeks ago.. It blew out the seam..

Recently, we have been seeing some water on the ground, but the coolant was still under pressure. It was only seeping a few cups over night when things were cooling off.

Turns out when I put the hose clamps on the bypass hose the screw of clamp was against the intake so it wasn't tightening. I took out the clamps and flipped them around..

I was surprised the thermostat housing went in only 5 years.
