c5 trans line mixup

Nearly done with my a4ld to c5 swap. One thing that I did not pay attention to was the in and out on the c5 for the trans fluid lines. Which hole is which in regards to fluid in and fluid out? One hole is closer to the front/bellhousing and the other hole is towards the rear/tail. Front one vague chart I found, it appears the front hole is the fluid out to the radiator and the rear hole is the in from the cooler/radiator. Which one is which for sure???

I will try to E-mail my brother later today to confirm. I did the swap on my old truck, which he now has.

I believe you are correct though. Front one is out from the pump to the radiator. I had the same problem and asked a ford tech guy at the local stealership. He said it did not matter. YEAH...RIGHT!!!! I am no expert, but I did not believe him.

I have yet to hear from my brother. He is not the most reliable person I know. Still waiting..sorry Will let you know when I hear something.

I happen to also work at one of those. and as matter of fact it dose not matter because the lines only go to the cooler and is non directional unless you have the external cooler in front of the radiator than you want the trans fluid to travel through the radiator cooler then the air cooler in that case the one closest to the bell housing is the out and the in one closest to the tail of the trans is in.

On another note it is true for $85 an hour labor it is practically stealing HAHA

I have yet to see one that does not have the auxillary cooler (therefore it does matter), but some probably don't. I am glad you were able to confirm that for him. I still have not heard anything.

They are commonly called that around here. I did not make it up.

so your title is not just clever its literal haha I actually looked at it and was wondering why? now it all makes sense as for the title I will do that that is if some other boso dosent come in here and read it and put it up first :thumbdwn: but I guess if he and or she (gotta be polittically correct) were to be elite befor me I guess itwas ment to be. Go edit it out of your post. I don't know how many (men or women ) have read it by now, but not nearly as many people as if you leave it up. Save it for yourself.
