cabin filter in 03 E.B.?

I just purchased an 03 Eddie Bauer with a 4.6 and I am trying to eliminate the smoke smell from the previous owner. The dealer masked the smell with the strong "new car" scent, but it soon went away to reveal the smoke smell.

Does the E.B. have a cabing filter of any type? If so, where is it? Also, does anyone have any suggestions to get rid of the smell. I have cleaned everything but the headliner and it is driving me crazy.

Get yourself an old dog. Ride him everywhere you go and don't be giving him any baths. Within a few weeks, you won't smell the smoke any more and you will have a really good friend.

Anyone know how to get the dog smell out of an Explorer?

Find you a first class car detailer and find out if he has a Ozone Machine. I have Mountaineer had the same problem. Took to my detailer, put Ozone Machine for the night and the smell was gone.

I have been to Motels that have those Ozone machines in Smoking rooms trying to get the smell out.

Might be able to shampoo the carpeting and clean the seats. That should make it better.
