that would be a shame. A filter is a disposable part and a money maker for the dealer. Replacing filters = service appointments for most owners, so I couldn't imagine one model having the filter and another not.
I know what you mean. They don't even include daylight driving lights as standard equipment on all Ford models. Doesn't make sense since Chevrolet does include a cabin filter and daylight driving lights on most of their models. I guess it would make sense not to include a cabin filter on base models but the Sport Trac XLT is not even considered the base model. It's mid-luxury then followed by the Limited which is the luxury model. But from what I hear not even the Limited has a cabin filter. Kinda dumb on Ford's part. That's the only thing I miss from my 2006 Impala besides remote start.
