Halo all.

Was some time I checked u all out but here I am again.

FYI my X is gooing like a good. (When I can start it)

Now to the question...

2 days ago I was omw to the woods with my dogs, I packed all in the Car and turned the key.

The engin started turning but didn't start.

Ive tryed to start it now for 2 days and reloaded my battery 2 times but I just dont start.

1. I can hear the fule pump start when I turn the key.

2. After trying to start the car and outloded one full battery I cant smell any fuel smell. (Enging should be drown in fule??)

3. I got Ford (BZT, G108, 511D FW Robert Bosch GmbH) Unmobilicer (Car alarm)

I think that the engin dont get any fule and my idee is that its the car alarm that cuts off the fule. (My last car hade this alarm I don't know if Ford has it 2??)

I got a Ford X 4.0 SOCH -97 (98000 Km)

Does anyone have any tipps how I can fix it or what I could try to do?

Forgot one thing..


The day b4 my x woulden't start it was going real good no problems not pouinters that problems was on the way... I just drowe home placed it in the driveway and when indoors... (No offroad just a from work drive)
 






your injectors may be really dirty, you can buy some injector cleaner at any auto store
 






Yepp thought abought that did by its yesterday and put it in the tank.....tryed for one battery..no luck :(

Have you checked that you are getting a spark? I would pull a spark plug out and see if it is a) ok and b) damp with fuel. It could be a number of things but check the basics first. You might just have worn out spark plugs or a clogged fuel filter.
 






Just my opinion, but trying to crank the truck for minutes on end and draining batteries isn't very smart. If it doesn't start within 5-10 seconds it won't start at all.
 






try cranking it and spraying starting fluid into the intake, if it runs, you know there is a fuel deprivation problem....
 






I have tested some minor things..thats why ive drained 2 batt.. ;)
 






If you can hear the fuel pump working then the alarm cannot be cutting off the fuel, unless you have some other valve fitted in the fuel system. You haven't said that you are getting a spark at the plugs. Have you checked the fuses? Have you checked that the fuel filter isn't clogged? We need a bit more info on what you have checked.
 












The pump only runs for 3-5 seconds and then shuts off intil the engine starts. So if you keep cranking, you have very low fuel pressure. This may be the reason there is little fuel smell. Turn key fully off after 10 seconds max cranking and then try to restart. If you hear the pump initially, it may not be a fuel problem.

only thing is I don't hear the fuel pump working. I no that I don't have any fuel pressure but there is fuel in the rail. Any ideas?
 






This clogged fulefillter.. Is it a regular thing that you have to change fulefilters?
 






They say that they last a lifetime but they can become clogged. I suppose they can be tested for flow but having taken it out you might as well replace it. You can test for fuel pressure up on the fuel injector rails.
 






I don’t know mate but your symptoms do bring back some bad memories of imobilizer problems.

Had a Wrangler TJ that Quit on me, engine turned ext but just wouldn’t start. Turned out to be the imobilizer remote.

Had a Grand Cherokee went to fill her up and got in and nothing engine turned but wouldn’t fire. After about 10 embarrassing minutes and a hand full of new batteries in the imobalizer remote it started.

Friend parked (Jeep) to have a drink with me when he decided to leave his engine wouldn’t fire up. Turned out to be Radar that was disturbing the waves from his Remote. We pulled the truck about 200 meters and bingo it started no prob.

So check the batteries in your remote. Is the little key on the dash flashing or not. Have they installed a new Cellphone mast near your house?

Hmm Iam allmost 90% that its the Alarm playing me...

Just talked to my wife and she told me that same thing happend her 6 weeks ago with the car...

She couldent get it started and when she left the car for 2h (Shooping) and came back it started.. wo any problems..

Is there any easy way to disabel the alarm?
 






Which is why I asked if you were getting a spark at the plugs. Get the aftermarket alarm properly checked out or even removed. Trace the wires and you will probably find where they have spliced into the loom. Disconect thier wires and rejoin the ford ones. Do it one at a time and you should be fine.

My European EX seems to have come with a factory immobilizer. I may be wrong but it seems to be of German origin. Actually it’s the same as i had in my Jeeps. I tried to get the dealer to remove it and they said it was impossible.
 






It was an option to have the factory imobilizer. So some have it and some don't. After 98 we all have the PATS key system with remote locking.

Well some news...

I did put my X in the garage for 3 weeks and drow my nr2 car... now we are heading to my famely for the x-mas and with 2 Great Danes and stuff we realy did need the X.

So I put the key in and turned it... well it did start like a clock..like it never hade been brooken..

And as far as I know no car in the world fix it self..so Iam gona get it in to the dealers and try get the damn Inmobeliser out.

Well well Ill keep u all updated..
