Just started yesterday. Engine will, out of blue, rev up when in drive. Both times when going about 5-10 mi per hour, slowing down to stop or from stop. And to be honest its REALLY freaking me out! Is this trans problem?(i hope to god not) Or maybe something else? Ive had some problems with trans already(leaking, wich stopped, and a couple of times disengaged when in drive). Anyway, as always, any help appreciated!

Try manually shifting and see if you have the same probs. I've heard of this happening ibefore. If you're stopped and in O/D it would happen but not when you start in D1(lowest gear).

:chug:

What does it do when you're in neutral? Does it still rev high or is it normal? Might need to grease your throttle cable.

No, just when in drive(couple of times). Didnt do it at all today, so im hoping it was just a freak thing. I always assume the worst(trans).

Mine starting doing this about a week ago. Unfortunately it's probably the trann slipping.
