Guys my 1996 ford explorer ohv when it is warmed up and then shut off and then turned on does not start sometimes . I have replaced the crank postion sensor, the fuel pump, the ignition switch. Could this be the Cam shaft. Any help will be of big help. thanks !

I'd be looking at the ECT sensor on top of your thermostat housing as a possible culprit. Although, when mine acted like that, it threw a code that readily identified it as the problem. Symptoms are always the same with these...the truck starts fine when cold...but, won't start (just cranks) when warmed up. when engine cools down, truck starts fine, again.

With no codes, I would be taking a look at my solenoid while it's hot with a voltage meter. Could be corroded connections as well. Our starters are pretty close to the exhaust and often the heat wrap either disappears or slides away from where it should be. This also could cause a hot start condition.
