I think I read somewhere that you can hook up a factory CD changer to an aftermarket cd player. I was just wondering b/c im thinking about redoing the factory audio system.. All input is welcome.. Thanks

It shouldn't be a problem. You just have to find the right place that knows what they are talking about. It took me a while but I did the reverse. I found an aftermarket 6 cd changer and had it installed in the factory location to the factory head unit. Its just a matter of getting the correct cable thats all. I find the place that did mine by calling the Ford dealer. And I can control it with my factory head unit. Its the same set up as if I had ordered it that way.

sorry....

If you have the factory cd changer mounted in your car and you removed the factory head unit, there is no way to incoporate the factory 6 disc to an aftermarket head unit. The way the ford cd changer sends it's digital signal from the cd player to the head unit is unlike any other brand on the market. So it is virtually usless unless you replace it. Mine right now maked a sturdy cd holder but other than that it dont do anything. You can just replace it that is the only option.
