Can Audiobahn handle this?

hey fella's, I have the Audiobahn A4400E 4 channel amp. it is 50x4 @ 4 ohms. 75x4 @ 2 ohms, and 150x2 @ 4 ohm stereo bridged. my question is, can i run the amp in briged mode at 2 ohms, when i did it on one side of the amp, it runs cool, so i was wondering if i can do it to both sides. I was told that this Audiobahn will be able to handle this even on a hot day.

if u dont understand- its 150x2 @ 4 ohms.
i want-----------300x2 @ 2 ohms.
I am goin to be using this amp to run a 12" Solobaric L7 and since i hear this subs needs a lot of power, i wanted to kno if i need a new amp, or if i can use this audiobahn.
i will be puttin a fan to it too, to help cooling. I dont want to damage the amp either. Please Help!

first off manufacturers put a load limit on there amps for a reason..... second IMO most of audiobahns amps were "overbuilt" and probably could handle the lower impedence, but why tempt fate, get a proper amp for your sub(s). And while you MAY get 300x2 out of it, my guess the power would be really distorted..... Not worth a fried amp!

I always tell people "If you're sub is more power than your amp you wasted your money. If the amp is more power than the sub, you're in good shape"

You should really get a new amp. That sub can handle 750W without a problem.

Why stop there? My 1200.1 worked great for my L5, and then you have room to add another sub in the future!

Im broke

i wish i could get a new amp, but im so broke, and furthermore,. I live in canada, and car audio stuff is so darn expensive up here, u guys in the states dont know how easy u have it.
So if i could afford a new amp, i would get one cause i kno that this Audiobahn is not enough power, but i cant. So thats y i was wondering if it could run at 2ohm. Has anyone tryed this with their audiobahns? Did it over heat? Fry? Distort? ect.

Well running it at 2 Ohms probably isn't going to be good on the amp. It will most likely overheat and the protection circuit will keep kicking in so you'll not have any sound about 80% of the time.

to be safe run each amp channel to a voice coil @ 4ohms, that'll give the sub ~300 watts, which is better than having an expensive chrome paper weight and needing a new amp.....

okay your sub is a dual voice coil, meaning it either has dual 2 or dual 4 ohm voice coils, a pos, and a neg for each. If you have the dual 4 ohm voice coils wire a bridged channel to each voice coil for 150 watts by two to the sub. If you have dual 2 ohm voice coils, you can series wire the sub to a 4 ohm load altogether and run it off one bridged channel of the amp for 150 watts.....

it all depends on what sub it is.....
