Can i add a Climate Control module?

If I buy the Climate Control module, can I install it in my non-Climate controlled '01 XLT?

In other words, can i buy the module and then install it into an explorer that did not have that option installed by the factory, or is this impossible.

Is there any way to do this?

It is possible but requires a lot of wiring for an Ex that doesn't have the correct dash harness for it. I swapped the Explorer EATC system into my Ranger using this How-to:
