hey guys well i was driving today (crazy snow storm here in NY) and as i was driving i noticed my cluster and climate control just shut off and seconds after i smelled what was clearly a wire melting so i quickly pulled over shut my car off and turn knob to turn off all my lights , i popped the hood and it smelled like burnt plastic , so i started looking for smoke of any sort from a wire possibly shorting out and i noticed tht the right turn signal socket was melted. so i pulled the bulb out and the bulb it self looked fine but the plastic housing seemed like it was starting to melt. i pulled the bulb out went back in my truck turned it on and turned the lights back on and i noticed that my cluster and my climate control lights didnt turn on as well as my fog light button wasnt lighting up , everything else worked perfectly fine , my mirrors window switch my turn signal my brake lights pretty much everything but my fogs and all my dash lights is what i noticed wasnt working. then of course as i mentioned earlier with the whole snow storm.. i turned the knob to turn off all the lights as in headlights and fogs and i turned the 4wd on to high and the yellow light tht says 4wd on my cluster lights up so clearly it has something to do with when i turn my head lights on . any suggestion on to why my socket and bulb started melting and on why my cluster lights dont light up anymore ?
