Im interested in putting bigger tires on my truck but I dont know what size I can fit, I read the forum of "max sizes" but I really think that 33's would fit with a TT. Has anyone put 33's on their ST? Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks guys.
Try searching the Sport Trac section, but the answer is pretty much no unless you don't mind the tires rubbing a lot and having to cut up the truck as well. Here's a thread that will give you an idea of what most do to get a good fit: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202634
My '01 Sport has 285/75 16s (approx 33 x 11.5") on stock wheels with just a TT in front. They only rub on the sway bar and occasionally the upper part of the inner fender liner if I have a heavy passenger and compress the suspension fully. The are close, but don't touch the fenders anywhere and no trimming was necessary. The rear only has F150 leaves and has no rub anywhere. The rear sits a little lower than the front after the TT, so it'll get lift shackles. Your ST sits higher in the rear already, so you probably don't need to worry about that. If the tires or wheels were any wider than this, they'd probably rub the front fenders.
I'd like to do a body lift eventually, but am fine without it for now.
