I'm getting a permit to explorer the beaches and some trails and all or the off roading is on sand. Since i don't have a REAL 4X4 just the AWD version, can my AWD handle the sand without myself having to dig myself out every 10 feet? Any advice will be much appreciated.

-This is one of the best explorer sites out there.

-Thank you for any info you may have.

If you do get stuck don't keep spinning your tires, you'll just bury yourself

If you have a compressor handy, it also doesn't hurt to air down the tires a little for a wider footprint.

KG, welcome to the site!

You should be fine with AWD, just try to avoid very fine and loosly packed sand. Just be prepared if you do get stuck. Carry some 2x4s or 2x6s to stick under your tires if you get stuck. Then you can use those to get some traction and wheelspeed.
