I recently purchased a 1995 Explorer XLT. Im in the process of trying to install an aftermarket head unit.
But Im having trouble figuring out what sound package my car has.
It has JBL tweeters in the driver and passenger doors. The car has no sub from what I can tell. Factory Head unit with no cd player(just am/fm/cassette). It has a 220 watt amp (some bs company "california sound") underneath the rear driver side seat. It also has a pioneer Cd Changer installed.
So im not sure as to whether it came with the JBLs stock or aftermarket. Basically... I want to know what the amp was/is powering...and I want to remove the pioneer cd changer and stock head unit and replace it with the aftermarket one.
Which installation method should I follow? the one for premium sound?
