Can you bleed your own brakes on a 94 Explorer?

I read in my Haynes Manual that you cannot bleed your own brakes on a 94' Explorer. Is this true? Can you not get the tool anywhere? Please let me know if there is a way around this. Thanks.

I have bled my brakes many times (front). I converted to disc in the back and they are also cake to bleed.
 






I think what you are referring to is the Haynes recommendation to not bleed the brakes due to the difficulty of getting all the air out of the anti-lock brake (ABS) system.
 






Yes, that is where I read it. From the sounds of it there isn't much truth to that. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks Guys.
 






I did buy a kit that allows you to bleed the solo. That makes life much easier when you don't have a second person to hold the brakes down.
