Can you drop a 5.0 engine in a V6?

Alright Im not considering doing this yet but If i purchased a 5.0 V8 from a 99 Explorer, fully constructed and everything, could I just drop it in my truck and drive off? What modifications would i have to make to the engine/truck to supercharge it? I think Im going to save like 2-3 years, then drop the supercharged 5.0 in the truck, and get a X-Spec Suspension around the same time.
