I have a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT, VIN X, 6-Cyl. When in Drive, pressing the O/D button does nothing, regardless of speed, failing to disengage Overdrive. When I sit idle and go through P, R, N, D, 2, 1, pressing the O/D button only fails to toggle on/off in D. I removed the switch on the shifter and it tests out fine, also proven by toggling when in anything but D. Any ideas what might be causing this?
