From what i can tell, the one touch has different connections than a regular motor/regulator. Mine has an eight pin connector, not two. the regular motors have a 2 pin connector. that ford number is 2010 Ford AL2Z7823395-D. I know regulator/motors are all over the internet, but i have already sent back parts that wont fit. I've already gotten the motor out, but looking for the motor or regulator/motor part.

Currently changing many parts including heater door actuator, fuel pump, driver seat motor, etc. and shining the old doll up again. I would like to keep the "one touch" if possible. 166k and runs like a scalded dog. i have read many discussions here, may someone knows other parts that might be interchangeable. 4.6L Limited 2010 sport trac.

BEWARE on the fuel pump swap! Check the fuel float hieght of you original vs NEW as my replacement was WAY OFF. Also I would highly recommend going with the MOTOCRAFT bucket assembly as my replacement had float sending unit problems just 7 months in, yup required dropping the fuel tank again only because of piss poor design at the contacts.

As to the regulator
I'll second the Fuel Pump, i did a 2010 Mounty (same everything as my 4.6L Limited 2010 sport trac) fuel gauge is off by 1/8, it never reaches full on mine. I wonder if the aftermarket is using one pump and float level for everything?

Thanks guys, great advice. we are all on the same page.. after i got the fuel tank down, i realized that the failing unit was a Chinese knockoff. got a direct replacement MOTORCRAFT PFS563 for the fuel pump. went into the tank fine. I need to make time to get it back up into the undercarriage.

To get the motor out, and off the regulator. i drilled a 1/2" hole in the door sheet metal directly where a covered screw was behind the sheet metal. then a star bit worked fine. I pulled the screw out through the drilled hole. the other two screws were removable where they were. Then, I loosened a nut just below that, on the sheet metal, to allow minor movement of the regulator. The next thing I know, I had the motor on the bench and the regulator is still in the door. easy peasy......

Trouble shooting:
  1. door switches checked out
  2. power to the 8 pin harness was good. the harness pins went hot when switches were pushed
I took the motor assembly apart The old motor still spins with 12V. (straight 12V source without the ADM). It seems the electronic ADM (Automatic Down Module?) failed. It's the black plastic box that the 8 pin connector plugs into, snapped onto the motor. No power transfer to the motor. I'm waiting on a part to arrive.

Thanks again for the advice....
