Can't get Reverse lights to come on. Replaced bulbs

I have a 98 Exlporer that I can't get the reverse lights to come on. I replaced the bulbs and still nothing. The brake lights work and so do the licence plate lights (just replaced those) Any ideas?

Did you check to see if there were any problem fuses?

I didn't and don't even know where to look. Next to the drivers left knee on the side of the dash? What number would it be?

The reason why I need this done quickly is that my inspection sticker is way OVER DUE!

You don't indicate if you have a manual trans or not. I only have 96 schematics but there is a back light switch on the trans for manual. For automatic, there is a trans range sensor on the trans. The interior fuse panel has a fuse for the light (#26 in 96).... or could be no ground... check both at the socket.
