First off, i cant post in the 911 section??
but anyways heres the deal, since it started to get cold out my fuel pump has not been working and my Cel Light is not on with key turn on it comes on after awhile but starts dim and slowly gets brighter.

Checked and cleaned ground wire on passenger and driver side engine bay, nada. So i figured it was a computer and/or fuel relay/fuse but replaced with no change in problem. i checked inertia switch but got no power.
if i let it sit with key on the fuel pump will evently kick on and can turn key off and back on as if there is no problem.

Please excuse me as i just got out back in side, its about 20 and my hands are still frozen.

Im Frozen and Stumped..

first question.. Only Elite Explorers can post new threads in the Explorer 911 forum.
When was the last time the fuel filter was changed out? You can get yourself a cheap fuel pressure gauge at Harbor freight. I'd check the fuel pressure at the rail.. It should be around 40-45 psi from what I remember. If after changing the fuel filter and getting a good pressure reading you still continue to have problems, your fuel pump may be going out. Figure a 12-13year old pump has probably served its life span.

It sounds like you have a weak connection / weak relay... msot likely PCM/ECM relay since your CEL light only "slowly" lights with KEY ON. check with a meter for good voltage (and ground) on the relay coil and good continuity thru the operating contacts.
