Bought an after market antenna and it was fine until it broke in the car wash (shoulda seen that coming). Anyways, i tried removing the left over piece with pliers and it was very difficult to turn and after a lot of force, a top piece broke off and left me with what's in the picture. Now i don't know what to do to remove the rest. I've search the forums but nothing similar to my problem.

Right off the top of my head I'm thinking two quick options.

- Put a tiny weld on to something for a handle and then twist it out (not sure the material)

- Grab a new antenna wire from the junkyard - it can be disconnected and reconnected from behind the glovebox, and unmounted from the body from underneath the fender (take off the wheel well liner and poke your hand up)

Thanks, I actually went to a junkyard before this post and the guy immediately told me to go to the Pepboys down the road and get an antenna mount (or casing i can't remember). That didn't make sense to me, nor did they have such a thing in Pepboys. I'll try another junkyard. I also was thinking i'd try a spray that helps with rust but had second thoughts.

iamdestruktor, check your PM. I have sent the antenna removal instructions from my shop manuals. :)
