Car Alarm

Hiya,

Wasn't sure what forum this should be put under, so I'll pop it under this one. I've been casually looking for a car alarm w/remote starter for my Explorer, but haven't seen anything that I really wanted - that, and the ones I spotted were pretty darn expensive.

Stumbled across one on Ebay a little while ago, and only have a day or so to decide. It's called MagiCar 8100 I believe, and it's for just under $100. Anyone heard of this alarm?

It's an alarm/remote starter. There's a lot of info on the thread, looks interesting, but I know very little about car alarms.

True, but I've looked around online (albiet briefly) and saw the same system priced quite a bit higher.

I have the Viper 790XV and I love it...Remote Start...shock sensors in 4 zones...2 way LCD remote...Everything I need!

I have the CA-640. The company is great to deal with and very helpfull. I put it in my SD myself on a saturday and it has worked fine since.
