My neighbours came over tonight to point out that my car had its trunk open in the driveway.

The only thing I can attribute this to is the remote in my pocket being activated. That or a neighbour has the same access codes - is that even possible? Has anyone else experienced this? Is the remote that sensitive?

I've had other times where I found the car unlocked, to my surprise, in the morning.

Yes. It's that sensitive. I keep my key in a seperate pocket than other items I reach for all the time. Had this happen a couple of times. Hasn't happened in a long time now as I have programmed myself subconciously not to do it. The "key" thing to remember is keep the key out of pants pockets. You know, so you don't step on it when you drop your trousers on the bedroom floor and the old lady hasn't pick them up yet so you step on them and hit the button and the alarm goes off or the back gate opens up. Don't laugh. You all have done it. My wife isn't as efficient as she once was. I might trade her in on a newer model, maybe a 90 or a 92. Nah, the newer models don't come with the same build as my wife. There all smooth curves and lines, but there's nothing under the hood. Sure don't build them like they used to.

Oooh, your car is Poe-Zessed!!!!

Okay - in the case maybe a fob holder? Transferring it around when it basically stays in my pocket is going to be a pain. Looked around but haven't seen any of those leather fob holders that fit this type of fob?

Anyone have a fob holder for the 5 button IA?

HEY that has happened to me!!!!!! I thought I was going crazy. I swear I've found it unlocked at least 5 times after I clearly locked it. Locked it, put key in desk and then next morning it is unlocked. Troubling...

I haven't had that happen yet. I keep the key fob in that small pocket that is in the top of my right hand pocket of my jeans. Not sure what it is actually for but a great place to keep the fob.

It's for your pocket watch! Which is of course attached to its watch fob. Then by extension, a key fob, by extension, your keyless fob.

See, it is perfect logic. :D

Thought of that just after my post. Now if I could just find that watch.;)

In searching for a keyfob holder, I googled another thread here on this exact same issue from the middle of last year.

Apparently it is/was a known problem - and no keyfob holders that I could find yet :(

It's for coins. Will have to try the FOB in it. Just last week, for the first time in 6-8 months, I went out in the morning to get the newspaper and low and behold the tailgate was open. Glad it wasn't raining!

I always used it for coins, if I used it (which was rare). From my extensive internet search, the consensus is that it is in fact a pocket for a pocket watch.

Then again, it truly is for anything that you can stick in there :)

Sort of like "pocket dialing" on a cell phone. My alarm(panic button) has gone off with the fob in my pocket while I was working in my house.

Too funny! :D

We miss you Michael Scott...

That's the truth... my iPhone fits perfect in that pocket, and thus is my iPocket! Keeps my keys and change and random garbage from scratching up my phone :)
