Cargo Baskets good for offroading?

Hey everyone!

I've been looking into a Cargo basket for my 03 explorer sport and was wondering if you guys have any opinions on a certain brand for offroading?

I can get Yakima racks real cheap but i figured i would ask around for the best first!

What are you looking to put in the basket?

mostly going to be hauling a large spare tire can of gas and some equipment... mostly just shovel axe and my basic camping gear (going to be an expedition type vehicle)

Spare tire is gonna throw the center of balance off on the rig and not to mention probably be a pita to get off the roof in the event of a flat. Check out surco racks if you do wanna go that route.

I have a Lund rack with a 33'' spare in it that has held up pretty well. I think It's only seen the trails once though.
